BABMOC Receives 5 cents-a-Meal Hunger Relief Program Grant to Enhance Pumping Clean Water
With your support, the Solar Battery Power System, which allows us to pump water from our clean water well when the power grid goes down, was repaired in December. In February, we received a grant from the Holston Presbytery (PCUSA) 5 Cents-a-Meal Hunger Relief Program for $858 toward purchasing a small gas generator to recharge the batteries to keep the water flowing when the sun is not shining. We are raising an additional $642 to buy and ship the generator for total a cost of $1,500.
